Postnatal Yoga – with or without babies (up to crawling age)

The transition to motherhood is an intense and profoundly life-changing event. Postnatal yoga is a great way to nurture and reconnect with yourself physically, mentally and spiritually through breath expansion techniques (pranayama), meditation practices and gentle exercises (asanas) specially designed to healing the body inside out, to balance emotions and fully enjoy the first year of your baby's life.

A regular postnatal Yoga practice will help you to heal and close the body after birth, regain strength, re-align the spine, tone the pelvic floor, abdominal and lower back muscles, relieve tension, cultivate serenity and inner balance, and replenish the necessary energy to attend your and your baby's needs.

Each class is also an opportunity to connect with other mothers and find support.

Important: Classes are suitable 6-8 weeks postpartum if you had a vaginal delivery, or 8-10 weeks if you had a C-section birth. As a precaution, please consult your physician before joining the classes.

À propos de l'entraîneur/professeur

I am an Argentinian Yoga teacher living in Switzerland since 2011. I have a background in fine arts, fashion and textile design. I took my first Yoga class back in 2002 and immediately noticed it had a transformative effect. It was a powerful and calming experience, and it allowed me to get in touch with my inner self. ​ I see Yoga as a tool that allows me to become aware of here and now, center and align myself. It has helped me to identify myself and solve problems, and I often found answers to health issues that other disciplines failed to provide. I believe that Yoga is for everyone, no matter what age, size, gender, state of fitness or flexibility level. My goal is to empower students and to encourage them to see Yoga as a means to nourish their soul, connect body and mind and find a calm space within the restlessness of every day’s life. At más Energy Center I teach Prenatal Yoga, a specific type of yoga specially designed to support women during this transformative experience that is pregnancy. ​ I am a RYT 200 and a Prenatal Yoga teacher, and I teach in English, German and Spanish. ​ Learn more about me: www.josefinayoga.com
